Start of Activities Under Our Latest Multi-Sector Project in KRI with Our Partner DCA!

Judy Organization for Relief and Development (JORD) is excited to announce the launch of another project in KRI. The project is titled “Empowering Local Civil Society in a Time of Transition to Provide Quality Protection, Education, and Livelihood Services to Vulnerable Communities in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI).”.  In partnership with Danish Church Aid (DCA) and funded by the Church of Sweden (CoS), the project aims to strengthen JORD’s capacity while delivering essential services to vulnerable communities in Erbil and Duhok.

Project Overview

Our project is dedicated to enhancing the quality of protection, education, and livelihood services for vulnerable populations in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. By focusing on these critical areas, we aim to support and uplift those most in need during this time of transition.

Capacity Building Workshops

A key component of this project is our capacity-building workshops. These sessions began with a training program and induction sessions designed for both new and existing staff members. The training focused on JORD’s policies, procedures, and curriculums, with a particular emphasis on Child Protection and Education. These workshops ensure our team is well-equipped to deliver high-quality services and support to those in need.

Community Engagement

Our teams in both Erbil and Duhok community centers have launched a campaign to inform and engage the local communities about the available services. Registration is now open, and we are spreading the word through brochures, social media, and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs). Our goal is to reach as many people as possible, ensuring they benefit from the protection, education, and livelihood services we offer.

The services provided by this project will commence soon. We are committed to making a positive impact and look forward to working closely with the communities in KRI to provide the support they need.

For more information and updates on the project, please follow us on our social media pages and visit our website regularly. We are grateful for the support from our partners and look forward to a successful project implementation.

Together, we can make a difference.
