Empowering Syrian Refugees through Vocational Training in Domiz 1 Refugee Camp
Vocational skills play a pivotal role in shaping individuals’ success, both personally and in their careers. It widens employment prospects, enhances performance, and fosters the acquisition of valuable new experiences.
Judy Organization for Relief and Development is dedicated to empowering Syrian refugees especially in areas such as Domiz refugee camps and its surrounding areas, where in early 2022, courses in smartphone maintenance and electrical wiring were offered, tailored to meet the specific needs of the community.
Noteworthy was the fact that these courses were provided by a dedicated team of volunteer trainers. Their expertise, coupled with a genuine passion for making a difference, formed the backbone of this activity. Furthermore, this activity was in coordination with two other centers within Domiz 1 Camp, signifying a collaborative effort to maximize the impact of vocational training in the community.
This activity represented not only a commitment to skill-building but also a drive towards fostering a sense of community and shared progress. Through this integrated approach, JORD aimed to leave an enduring legacy of empowerment and self-sufficiency among those it served.
