Unconditional Cash Assistance
Project Details:
Project Summary:
As part of its humanitarian and developmental efforts, Judy Organization for Relief and Development, with support from the Church of Sweden (CoS) and in partnership with the Danish organization DCA, implemented a project to distribute unconditional cash assistance in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, in Erbil and Duhok Provinces. This assistance continued for 6 months and benefited 1,139 individuals, including Syrian refugees, Iraqi internally displaced persons (IDPs), and the host community.
The main objective of this project was to provide direct support to families in need and alleviate their economic burdens. The cash assistance was distributed without conditions, allowing the recipient families to use the funds according to their personal and familial needs.
The organization provided this assistance regularly throughout the six months to ensure the continuity of support and to meet the needs of the beneficiary families. These cash distributions contributed to improving the living conditions of the needy families and provided them with an opportunity to meet their basic needs, such as food, shelter, and healthcare.
