Supporting the education and well-being of Syrian refugee and displaced Iraqi children and their families

Project Summary:

Judy Organization for Relief and Development, in partnership with ZOA and with the support of DOB Emergency, provided educational and recreational courses for refugee and internally displaced children and their families at the Turaq Educational and Recreational Center in the Turaq area of Erbil.

These courses lasted for two years and included indoor and outdoor recreational activities, as well as strengthening lessons and vocational training, during the consecutive summers of 2017 and 2018.

Additionally, Awareness sessions were conducted, addressing issues related to child and women protection, as well as important health and social topics. The aim of these sessions was to increase awareness and enhance knowledge within the targeted community, providing essential information for the protection of children and women’s rights and improving health and social conditions.

These field activities and courses were executed regularly and with a diverse approach to meet the needs and aspirations of the beneficiaries.
