Surplus Budget Project – Educational and Relief Activities

Project Summary:

Judy Organization for Relief and Development always strives to provide crucial support to those in need and improve living conditions for the most vulnerable families. Due to a surplus in one of the 2020 project budgets, JORD and its partner DCA implemented various activities in different areas of Duhok and Erbil governorates.

The project included the following activities:

1. Distribution of Dignity Baskets: A significant portion of the surplus budget was allocated to provide food baskets for the neediest families. A total of 1000 dignity baskets were distributed in Erbil and Duhok.
2. Distribution of COVID-19 Baskets: Due to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, JORD provided necessary support by distributing 500 baskets containing protective and hygiene supplies. This contributed to safeguarding the health of the local community and raising awareness about the importance of preventive measures.
3. Distribution of Stationery to Students and Teachers: In support of education and to encourage children to continue their learning, JORD distributed 1250 stationery bags to students and teachers.
4. Distribution of Awareness Leaflets: In addition to material distribution, awareness leaflets on how to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic were distributed

In total, the number of beneficiaries from this project reached 9964 vulnerable individuals in the governorates of Duhok and Erbil. These efforts reflect the JORD’s commitment to providing comprehensive support and making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
